On October 3, 1993, U.S. Special Forces, under the auspices of the UN, were tasked with capturing top lieutenants of warlord Mohamed Farrah Aidid in Mogadishu, Somalia. The MOG - Mogadishu 1993 puts you in the shoes of the commander of the UN forces, with the objective of leading the raid, capturing high-ranking members of Aidid's Somali National Alliance (SNA), and returning your troops to the UN base safely.

Historical Scenario and Game Objectives

The game begins with US forces preparing to raid a building near the Olympic Hotel to capture these key SNA members. However, Aidid's forces have been alerted to the raid and prepare to attack the UN troops, resulting in the Battle of Mogadishu. As a player, you control the UN side while solo rules handle Aidid's forces.

The MOG - Mogadishu 1993 offers six historical missions, each based on real events. Additionally, you have the option to create your own missions using a random scenario generator, ensuring a new gaming experience every time.
